MARIAH/NICK ENGAGED?!
According to People and PageSix Mariah Carey's keeping mum about that ginormous diamond ring she started wearing on her ring finger last week, but a source tells us it's definitely from her new beau, Nick Cannon - and that the duo are now engaged.

Cannon bought the bauble for $2.5 million at Jacob & Co. on East 57th Street, where he was spotted again yesterday. "Maybe he's making payments on it," laughed our witness, who overheard Cannon telling Jacob Arabo they are set to marry.
Carey's new bling is 17 carats, with a whopping 10-carat center stone, and made of rare pink and purple diamonds. Cannon was also once engaged to Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks.
The other night during her Tribeca Film festival after party for Tennessee (which will suck) she stayed close to Nick Cannon. The pair held hands at the bash at Cadillac Lounge at Tenjune, which followed the movie's premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival. The two also looked cozy in Vegas on teh 14th. When asked about a possible engagement, Cannon's rep had no comment; Carey's was unable to be reached for comment. Asked what he loved about Carey, Cannon, 27, told People: "Everything." He was at her side from 8 p.m. to about 10:45 p.m. in Tenjune's VIP room, where they were joined by her BFF, Da Brat. Zoe Kravitz and Ben Kingsley also stopped by.
Meanwhile, before the premiere, Carey played it coy, saying she only has eyes for one male: Jack, her Jack Russell terrier.
WTF ever... I mean how wack are the both of them?! How many times is Nick Cannon gonna propose to random broads? You ask, "Are they that pressed for attention that they fake a relationship to get people talking then fake as though they arent in a relationship to dispell rumors all for the sake of attention?" Yes... yes they are that wack....

I just wrote about Nick and Mariah over on Highbrid Nation and I was interested in seeing what others had to say. It's really looking official. Nick is indeed "wild'n out" and Mariah's mid-life crisis is in full swing. I know Nick has dough but how does he just keep dropping 2 million plus on engagement rings? i don't care how much money you have. That's a waste of money. He could have fed a village of starving Africans for one year with that money. What a dummy.
